I know. It looks like a naked lady.  The picture shows it more readily then it can be detected by the naked eye (sorry).  The turning is actually two turned spindles set side by side with a bright white background.  Gene did get some raised eyebrows from some of the club members who would never have thought this quiet, distinguished gentleman would have come up with this "work of art".  It did turn out beautifully, and won him a first at the art show.
