Sylvia carves her mountain man bust during the 1999 Jeff Phares seminar.

Sylvia has been a club member, along with her husband Wilson, for several years.  She participates in many club events including seminars and carving the Friendship Cane that was donated to the Mennonite Relief Sale.  The smaller pictures to the left are the three carvings Sylvia contributed to the cane.  Click on any one of them for a larger view.  Sylvia starts work on one of those pieces at one of our club meetings in the picture above.

Above Sylvia carves her tiger at the 2002 Kirt Curtis seminar sponsored by the club.

Sylvia carved these wolf heads as part of a Kirt Curtis Seminar sponsored by the club.

Sylvia is a wonderful carver and does a variety of sculptures.  Here are her wolf heads and and Apache Indian bust.

Here Sylvia is given instruction by Rex at that April 2001 seminar.

Sylvia contributed the following carvings to the Friendship Cane that the club donated to the 2000 Mennonite Relief Sale.  The first picture is a sea captain.  The next three pictures shows three sides of one of the pieces she carved.  The first shot is a lion, the second shot is an elephant, and the third is a giraffe.  The are quite detailed and realistic.
